is always my favorite. the primary program during sacrament--all the little tike's so excited about what they are about to do, everyone asking each other "are you ready for Christmas" and wanting to know each individuals plans for the holidays. there is just a cheer about everyone that is spectacular. the spirit of giving-- but my all time favorite- the lessons are always about the birth of Christ. it's an event that gets more and more beautiful and special the more I read & review it and ponder on what took place that night long ago in Bethlehem.
this particular Sunday i was asked to sub as an assistant in the Sunbeam class. there were only two little Sunbeams there but the teacher had a beautiful lesson planned for them. she had wrapped all the pieces to the nativity and the two of them got to take turns as she read the story of the birth of Jesus. as they unveiled their piece to the nativity they were to answer some questions about the individual piece. i was set at awe at the amazing minds these two little children have. they were smart. they were correct. but mostly they were passionate about the birth of our Savior. it was very humbling & sweet.
i am so excited and so very anxious for Christmas to arrive this year. the kids and i read "The Night Before Christmas" (given to them by their Great G&G Lunsford for Christmas this year) today when we were all snuggled up on the couch trying to cuddle and stay warm while we watched the blizzardy weather outside.
on Sunday before church i really tried to get some pictures of our kids in their Christmas outfits - which by the way it is always a challenge to photograph my own kids... and this particular session wasn't any different (to my dismay)-- see for yourself!...
